LULU LUI was originally brought up in China before moving to Japan for 6 years. After realising her purpose, she transferred to the UK’s capital to study at The London College Of Fashion. While still completing her studies, LULU’s talent for designing was unquestionable and with that her work was exhibited at British Royal Ballet as well as the infamous V&A museum. This fashion creative has managed to grasp minimalism and combine it with an subtle youthful quality. Today on the day we celebrate Saint Valentine, the BassBuds team took a trip to The Freemasons Hall in London to watch this distinctive individual launch her 5th season at London Fashion Week.
LULU filled the catwalk with bold colours and patterns while still managing to keep a sense of subtly and tranquility.
She stuck to clean cutting methods, along with the use of superior fabrics such as pure wool and lambskin leather. Combining striking hues of metallic orange and yellows, vibrant reds and soft white which seemed have hit all the right chords with LULU LIU followers. Lulu Liu’s exquisite hand-painted prints continue to play a strong part in her collections.
